Justin Bieber Fans To Be Charged Over $2,000 For Selfie With Star

How much would you pay for a selfie with Justin Bieber?

Well, prices for a meet-and-greet with the Canadian star are being advertised for a cool $2,000 (about £1,315).

That’s how much one of the VIP packages for Bieber’s Purpose world tour appears to be going for on some US ticket sites.

Many Beliebers aren’t pleased – and #justiceforbrokeliebers has been trending.

The Ultimate Purpose Experience includes one selfie with Bieber, a backstage tour and an official tour plaque.

There is a less expensive VIP option going for $925 (about £609), but fans only get a group photo for that price – and not an individual one.

The cheapest package is advertised for $375 (about £247) but it doesn’t look like you get to meet Justin for that – only a merchandise set, “dedicated VIP entrance” and an “exclusive” laminate.

Does the 2k includes hotel, flight, food??… #justiceforbrokeliebers — He Yo (@tefy21) November 16, 2015

asking me to spend 2k on a m&g is asking me to take a semester off from college #justiceforbrokeliebers

Prices for meet-and-greets can vary according to artists’ management and concert venues.

The Vamps are charging £139.50 for a VIP package on their UK tour (that comes with a “pre-show photo experience”) whilst meeting Jason Derulo at London’s O2 next February will set you back around £161.

A 5 Seconds of Summer “soundcheck package” at the same venue costs just over £110.

Olly Murs has told Newsbeat in the past that he doesn’t agree with the “really expensive meet-and-greets”, saying he prefers to run competitions for fans to meet him instead.

Justin Bieber’s fourth album Purpose was released on Friday. He put out videos for all 13 songs on Saturday.

Bieber’s Purpose tour starts in Seattle, Washington, on 9 March 2016.
