Graduate From Nigeria Universities Are not Intellect Enough to Withstand Student From My University

Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has described graduates of Nigerian public universities as brainless, saying they cannot communicate in English with the students of his private secondary school, the American University of Nigeria (AUN) Academy.

Abubakar, who spoke on Thursday evening in Yola during his birthday celebration organized by the management of AUN, said public universities graduates cannot fit into private industries due to their poor education and character.
“I was in the University of Zik in Akwa in Anambra State on Wednesday on the invitation of the university. There is no student in public universities that can speak English in an error-free manner like the head boy of my secondary, who just finished addressing us now.
“When the head boy of AUN Academy, Abdullahi Sani, started speaking, I was thinking it is one of the lecturers in AUN, but only for him to introduce himself as the head boy of AUN Academy,” he stated.

Atiku said his ambition to establish AUN was to ensure that Nigeria produced graduates of high quality, both in learning and character, at an affordable rate and avoid the stress of traveling to other countries in search of quality education.

He pointed out that only quality education could bring about technology development in any country in the world, not oil, gold or other mineral resources.

Atiku noted that a country that places emphasis on oil, instead of manpower development, is preparing to collapse, pointing out that quality education produces quality manpower that turns a country into a wealthy nation.

While addressing students of the Law Department, the former vice president restated that Nigeria would continue to move backward unless it is restructured to address the problems threatening its existing.

“When government set up the last constitutional conference, I sent my proposal to the conference and when the members received it, they all agree with the content and resolved to include it in their final report as part of their resolutions.

Terrific! Woman Uses Stolen Car To Sow Seed To Pastor In Lagos

A 44-year old housewife, Mary Onu and her daughter, Alice, were Friday arraigned before a Magistrate’s court sitting in Isolo, Lagos State for allegedly stealing a Nissan Infiniti SUV, belonging to a car dealer.

Onu reportedly used the stolen car to sow a seed offering to her church prophet, Solomon Orimisan of the Celestial Church of Christ located at Gabriel Bell close, Bamishile Estate in Idimu area of the state.
Onu, who was a member of the church reportedly went to the prophet and told him that she wanted to appreciate him for his assistance and prayer to her and her family which had benefited them, adding that she wanted to sow a seed offering with the Infiniti model QX56 worth N2m.

The Delta State-born, however, asked him to pay only N500, 000 as a token and Orimisan agreed and paid the money into her account.

The prosecutor, Mr A.U. Ojei told the court that Onu drove the SUV to the church with the owner, who is a car dealer and introduced him as her driver.

When they went into the church to discuss, the owner of the SUV was unaware what was going on and after Orimisan paid the money, she left both of them inside the church premises and absconded.

The prophet reportedly asked the car dealer to leave, notifying him that he had settled with Onu.

The shocked car owner subsequently explained what transpired between him and Mary before the vehicle was brought to the church.

At that point, the prophet realized that Mary had scammed him and he reported to the Idimu police command who trailed Mary and her daughter for several weeks and later arrested them in their hideout.

While her mother was arrested for stealing the car, Alice was arrested on the grounds that she signed the agreement and handed over the Jeep to Prophet Orimisan after she obtained a token sum of N500, 000 in exchange for the vehicle.

Onu reportedly confessed to the crime at the police station but claimed she had already spent the money to solve her personal problem.

The duo charged with conspiracy, obtaining under false pretence and stealing under the Criminal Code, however, pleaded not guilty before the presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.K. Shonubi.

Shonubi granted them bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety in like sum, ordering that they be remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
She adjourned till November 24 for trial.

Atiku Attacks Buhari Again, Says Boko Haram Still Deadly, Insurgency Far From Over

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, on Saturday countered claims by the Nigerian government that the terrorist Boko Haram group has been defeated.

Speaking in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, at the 11th Founder’s Day Ceremony of the American University of Nigeria (AUN), the former vice president said Boko Haram remained deadly, and that it was premature to declare that the insurgency was over.

“The insurgents still occupy a specific geographical space,” Atiku said. “They (Boko Haram) still retain the capacity for occasional deadly attacks. Many citizens in the zone still remain vulnerable and live in fear.”
The former vice president’s comments appeared to counter repeated claims by President Muhammadu Buhari and his information minister, Lai Mohammed, that Boko Haram had been defeated, and was no longer holding any territory in the country.

In his 2016 Independence Day speech, October 1, Mr. Buhari insisted the sect was defeated in December 2015 even as the group continued its onslaught across the Northeast, launching deadly attacks and killing soldiers and civilians.

But in his Saturday speech, which was emailed to newsmen, Atiku said it was premature for anyone to claim victory over Boko Haram at this time.

Like Mr. Buhari, Atiku belongs to the ruling All Progressives Congress, a shaky political platform, whose leading members have bickered consistently since it came to power in mid 2015.

“We cannot say that the problem is over until every displaced person is able to return home, to the office, to the market, to the farm, and resume normal activities,” the politician said.

“We cannot say it is over until we rebuild the schools, the churches, the hospitals, the markets, and the homes that had been destroyed. And we cannot say it’s over until the survivors of this insurgency receive the help they need, including psychological therapy to deal with the trauma that they have been through.

“I visited an IDP camp on Saturday and had the privilege of teaching a math class to some children. But the site of hundreds of children running around and unable to attend school was very gut wrenching. It still breaks my heart.

So we cannot say the insurgency is over until all the displaced children return to their schools.
“And, as I indicated last year, it would not be enough for people to simply return to their pre-insurgency lives. We must do better than that otherwise we would only have papered over the wound without really treating it.

“People must return to something better, to hope, to improved schools, to improved economic opportunities, to freedom of worship and improved inter-religious harmony.”

Read Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger Comment After It Draw With M-Utd

Manchester Utd Vs Arsenal Match Ended in a 1 : 1 draw game but it wasn't an easy game for arsenal.

They got a point after Giroud Header In 89 Minutes.

Man Utd Dominated the game and was ready to kill Arsenal but lacked the spirit though.

Read Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger Comment
Arsenal salvaged a point at Old Trafford on Saturday after substitute Giroud canceled Juan Mata’s early goal.

United dominated for most of the match and Arsenal had one shot on goal, and converted.
Speaking after the game, Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger said:
“The result in the end is positive for us because we were 1-0 down with two minutes to go. For the rest it was a bit of a scrappy game with two teams well organized who defended well. Our passing was not quick enough, our penetration was not there and at the end we looked like we had good possession of the ball but not many chances. In the second half we suffered for the first 20 minutes and they deserved to be in front.

“The players who came on made a massive difference today. When you are 1-0 down and come back to 1-1 of course you have to feel happy.

“We lacked a bit of sharpness today, what is it down to I don’t know but at least we came back.”

A mental block playing here? “I wondered during the game about that. Honestly you never know. Last year we would have maybe lost this game and today we didn’t so we have improved on that front. Hopefully now we can kick on with some wins.”

“We did not create many chances, it was an intense game. In the first half we did alright without creating much but in the second half they were on top of us and deservedly led.

“After that they dropped back and we are happy to come back for a point. We have shown steel, we want style as well but we had more steel than style today.

The community ‘MMM-Nigeria’ donates N5m worth relief materials to Abuja IDPs to mark one year anniversary

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the gesture was part of the community’s humanitarian week tagged ‘MMM cares’ to mark its one year anniversary.

The Gwoza and Bama IDP Camp located in Durumi area and the New Kuchingoro IDP camp were the two beneficiaries of the relief materials.

Bags of rice, beans, gari, as well as cartoons of beverages and noodles, were some of the items
donated by the group. The group also donated clothing, drugs, and educational materials for the pupils among them.
Mr. Seyi Bello, a Guilder in the ‘MMM Community’ said the donation was motivated by the desire of the group to affect the society positively, especially the less-privileged.

“We are marking our first year anniversary and we have decided to come and celebrate it with our brothers, mothers and children in the camp. As a community, we do not only provide help to our members, we also extend that to the larger society as part of our social responsibility.
“In these times of economic challenges, the IDPs are the ones that need help and support more than any other person; that is why we visited them today,” he said.

Bello explained that besides providing help and donations to its members, humanitarian service was a flagship program of the group. He said that the relief items were bought from free-will donations of members in their quest to touch lives positively. He said:

“The N5 million was raised from voluntary donations my members in the FCT. “That is what defines us as a community of people providing financial help to each other on the principle of reciprocity and benevolence.
“In MMM there are no lenders and no debtors. One participant asks for help, another one helps.’’

Bello appealed to individuals, groups and corporate bodies to always remember the IDPs across Nigeria, since government alone would not be able to provide for them adequately.

“They are our brothers and sisters who have left the comfort of their homes and are now struggling for survival here. “No matter how little, let us always extend a hand of help to them to complement what government and other donors are doing, “he urged.

Mr Enoch Yohanna, General Secretary of the IDP camp at New Kuchingoro, who received the items, expressed gratitude for the gesture which he described as `timely.’

“The Christmas season is very close; we thank MMM-Nigeria for bringing these items to us. We hope to share them satisfactorily among us for everybody to be happy and have a happy Christmas celebration, “he said.

NAN reports that the visit to the IDPs camps was preceded by a two-hour environmental sanitation by members of the group on Nyanya/Mararaba route, a suburb of the FCT. Members of the group came out in their numbers to clear garbage from drainages and streets in the area.

I’m fine and doing well now, thanks Nigerians – Leo Mezie

Nollywood actor Leo Mezie who was down with kidney failure and receiving treatment in London has confirmed reports that he is back to Nigeria perfectly hale and hearty.

A lot of Nigerians were sad months ago when news went viral that Leo was seriously down with kidney problems and needed about N10m for an operation abroad. It was reported that both his kidneys had collapsed and the actor could no longer use his right leg due to his ailment.
However, luck smiled on him. Leo was able to raise the required N10million and was flown out of the country for the needed operation. When he arrived the hospital, the actor was quick to thank
Nigerians for coming to his rescue via a YouTube video.

On Wednesday, the actor was sighted at the airport as he arrived from London where he went for his medical treatment.

Saturday Beats reports that they put a call through to the actor and from his voice, it was obvious that the bald-headed actor is hale and hearty.

With excitement in his voice, the actor pleaded that people should give him some time to rest and spend some time with his family before he would address the public. He however was quick to add that he is hale and hearty.

“It has all been God and I give him all the thanks and praises. I just got back into Nigeria and I would beg you to please let me rest and spend some time with my family. I promise to address the public properly next week. I am very thankful to Nigerians for their love and support,” Mezie said.

Check out these photos of Indian family born with 12 fingers and 12 toes

An extraordinary Indian family has baffled experts after each of the 25 members were born with 12 fingers and 12 toes.

According to Dailymail, Krishna Choudhary, who lives in a small village in Gaya, in Bihar, northern India, has six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot - just like his father and siblings.

The unusual condition made it difficult for the 50-year-old to arrange his daughter's marriages - because prospective husbands dislike the condition.

Mr. Choudhary Krishna, who works as a daily wage laborer, said:

'My father and grandfather had 24 fingers. I along with my brothers and sister have 24 fingers and our children and grandchildren are also affected by the condition.'
'I don't have any problems with my extra fingers but my children and grandchildren suffer a lot. I've had boys that have refused to marry the girls of my family after learning of their condition.
'Four people rejected my daughter after finding out she had 24 fingers. I do not know why, but this is awful.'

Krishna also admits it's difficult for him and his children to find footwear that are comfortable. They are forced to always wear flip-flops.

'We cannot find footwear for our feet,' he said. 'They don't fit us well so we have no option but to wear these and we can't afford to customized shoes.'

Krishna's sister-in-law, Sitbiya Choudhary, considers the condition a blessing, while other members of the family feel they have been cursed. Sitbiya said:

'I feel it is a blessing on all of us; else it is impossible to have all members of the family to have the same condition. It must be some kind of message from God.'

Dr Aayush Gupta, an assistant Professor at the department of dermatology, at Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College, Pune, said:

'The term is medically called Polydactyly.
'It is a genetic disorder, caused by a mutation during the development of genes and a congenital physical anomaly in human beings where they have supernumerary fingers.
'There may not be any physical issues related to the extra fingers but people do sometimes suffer from the psychological issues of living with such a condition. Usually extra digits on the ulnar side cause no problem. These extra fingers could be removed in surgery if the patient requires but it can be costly.'

I wasn’t detained in the US because of my huge b00b – Cossy Ojiakor

Controversial Nollywood actress Cossy Ojiakor has debunked renowned stand-up comedian, Ali Baba's viral story that said she was detained at an airport for over two hours because of her breast. lol.
You recall that Alibaba, who is known to be very active on social media, last Wednesday posted this on his Instagram page:

“So @cossyojiakor and I were on the same flight to the USA last month… I had crossed Immigration and even checked in and realized she had not called to say she had checked in… Called later and found out they held her back at the airport for two hours. Why? I asked her. She said they said something about “No dairy products allowed”… Still don’t get it.”
Well, Punch reached out to the voluptuous young lady via her spokesperson, and he said Cossy saw the post and laughed about it. The story didn't happen and Alibaba was only joking.

“When she saw the post she laughed because she knew that Alibaba was only joking and she does not take things like that to heart. Most times when she reads things about herself in the media, she only laughs.
The only time she took offence to a write-up was when she was accused of bestiality but that is in the past. She knows Alibaba was only joking and you can call Alibaba to confirm,” he said.

Kanye West receives backlash from fans when he reveals to concertgoers that he would have voted for Donald Trump if he had to vote

On Thursday night, rapper, Kanye West arrived an hour late to his San Jose concert. Instead of jumping straight into his set list, he started to rant about this year's US presidential election. He said:

"I told y'all I didn't vote, right? But if I were to vote, I would have voted on Trump," he told the crowd, who immediately began booing him.
He continued to talk about why he supported the president-elect before transitioning into his song, "Heartless."

Shortly after starting Heartless, he stopped again to rant some more. He said:
"I just said that I would have voted for Donald Trump and then I did a song and y'all sang it at the top of your lungs". "That doesn't mean that you're a Trump supporter. That just means you ok with a celebrity having their own opinion. Or that someone else is ok to have their own opinion.
That might not be your opinion but you can still like that person or still like that person's music."
He went on to call out last week's Saturday Night Live host, Dave Chappelle, saying:

"Dave Chapelle, it's ok. We can have opinions as celebrities. I know you said we couldn't, but thank you for breaking the ice on a mentality of a generation."

Then he talked about racism in the US. He said:

"Specifically to black people, stop focusing on racism. This world is racist, ok? Let's stop being distracted to focus on that as much. It's just a f**king fact. We are in a racist country. Period… Not one or the other candidate was going to instantly change that."

Kanye West also confirmed that he still plans to run for President in 2020 saying:

"I will take position in 2020 and do it myself."

“I wanted to say that before the election, but they told me, ‘Whatever you do, don’t say that aloud,’” West explained.

The Grammy-winning rapper also spoke about how he admired the Trump campaign.

“Not only did I not vote, but there were a lot of things I actually liked about Trump’s campaign,” said West, who later added: “His approach was (expletive) genius — because it worked.”

Twitter exploded with people leaving all type of critical comments like:

U.S. Govt expresses concern over deaths of Nigerians during clashes between police and Shia Muslims in Kano

The U.S Government has expressed its concern over the killings of Nigerians by police during the clashes between the police and Shia Muslims in Kano State last Monday.

A statement issued on Friday, November 18th, by John Kirby, U.S. Department of State's Assistant Secretary and spokesperson, said the Shia community have the right to assemble, peacefully express their religious beliefs, and mark their celebrations.

"The United States is deeply concerned by the deaths of dozens of Nigerians during clashes between individuals participating in a Shia procession and the Nigerian Police Force in Kano State on November 14, the statement reads.
"While the matter is still under investigation, we are troubled by the apparent disproportionate response by the police. This is the latest in a series of violent incidents between security forces and members of the Shia Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), some of which have resulted in deaths, destruction of property, and the arbitrary detention of IMN members.

"The United States calls for calm and restraint on all sides, a reduction of tensions, and greater communication between Shia citizens and government authorities.
Members of the Shia community, like other religious communities, have the right to assemble, peacefully express their religious beliefs, and mark their celebrations.

"We call on the Nigerian government to protect and defend these rights. It is also incumbent on members of the IMN and all Nigerian citizens to respect the rule of law and cooperate with the police as they attempt to maintain public order.

"We continue to urge the government to ensure accountability for the deaths of more than 300 IMN members during December 15, 2015 clashes between the IMN and security forces in Zaria, Kaduna State. We also call on the Nigerian government to conduct a transparent investigation of the latest incidents and bring to account anyone responsible for violating the law"
